A professional translation is a highly specialised language service. If the lowest price is the only decision criterion when looking for such a service, the result generally turns out to be expensive: the text you get for your money is either inadequate and meets only the lowest expectations or needs to be revised and corrected and that’s when it gets expensive.
The regular fee per standard line (of 55 characters including blanks, counted from the target text, i.e. the translation) starts from € 1.40 minimum and may vary according to the level of difficulty, technical field and volume of the text. Surcharges may apply for express translations.
For translations into English the price also comprises proof-reading by an English native speaker (quality assurance).
The fee for other text services such as proof-reading/correcting/editing depends on the hours required and may for longer texts or manuscripts also be subject to special, project-related conditions.
VAT of 20% is added to the above prices.
